Change Your Mindset Change Your Life
Battling with my weight has been a tug-a-war for the past 20 years. Too often, I had glimpses of hope when I dropped a few pounds and began to imagine a life of apricating what I saw in my reflection. In the past, what held me back was my mindset about food never changed, and my unhealthy eating habits remained the same. I used to stress eat, and sugar was what I used as a coping mechanism. Now that I understand my unhealthy relationship with food and what made up my mind to make a permanent change, my life has changed positively in all areas.
Today I’m strictly talking about my health, though. In January of this year, I was 168 pounds. As of today, July 7, 2022, I am 138 pounds. I lost a total of 30 pounds! I didn’t do this on my own. I joined a program that is the perfect match for me. I am supported and encouraged and given the knowledge base I need to make healthy lifestyle choices. It’s liberating to know that I am not in bondage to a diet but to have the freedom to make healthy choices that will reap benefits that will last me a lifetime.
I just went on vacation, and I had a wonderful time. I wasn’t worried about my food and how it would affect me. Instead, I enjoyed myself and didn’t limit eating what would make me happy. Something else that has changed is my relationship with water. It’s my primary source of staying hydrated, and I enjoy drinking it. That is such a change from just a few months ago. I now drink at least 64 oz of water a day.
Life is good and getting better every day!
