New Discoveries Everyday

In one of my previous blogs, I spoke about exercising and rediscovering how my love for dance can lead to weight loss and overall satisfaction with my health and wellbeing. I signed up for #BodyGroove and paid the $79 annual membership. Yes, I like the program, but I have not been eagerly anticipating doing the workouts at night like I assumed I would. Too many nights, it felt like work instead of fun. I do the exercises in my bedroom, and that could be some of the issues. There are other rooms in the house, but I do not feel comfortable enough to dance in front of other people.

A week ago, I searched on YouTube for exercise videos and ran across something about speed walking. I gave it a try, and I love it. It is called “Walk at Home” by Leslie Sansone. In the comfort of my own home, I can speed walk my way to a healthier body, and the best part is I look forward to doing it. Check her out if you are interested in working out at home without equipment. Her videos are also on YouTube if you do not want to pay for a membership.

Something else that is helping to motivate me is the activity app on my apple watch. It tracks my calories, exercise, and standing each day. I refuse to go to bed before all my bands are connected. That has me exercising at least six times a week. So now I dance twice a week and speed walk 4-5 times a week. Once a month, I will post pictures of my progress. I am excited about this.
